  Retired Sergeant Barry A. Thornes, 79, formerly of the 4th District Metropolitan Police Department, entered into eternal rest on Thursday April 11, 2024. Barry is survived by wife Joan; son Kevin; daughter Susan; grandson Isiah and a host of other relatives and friends.  

  Kenneth Foree Holbert, age 99, an attorney and a long time resident of Chevy Chase, Maryland, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, April 11, 2024.  He is survived by relatives and friends.
