The goods and services shown in this price list are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
This list does not include prices for certain items you may ask us to buy for you, such as cemetery or cremaÂtory services and newspaper notices. The prices for those items will be shown on your bill or the statement describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
Our basic service charge includes, but is not limitÂed to: staff to respond to initial request for service; consultation with the family; preparation and filing of necessary certificates and permits; coordinating with those providing other portions of the funeral, such as, cemetery, clergy, newspapers, etc. Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relÂative to our facility such as maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs, and equipment and inventory expenses. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for diÂrect cremations, immediate burials, forwarding or receiving remains, and alternative selections.)
Embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funerÂal arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not reÂquire you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

*There is a charge of $2.50 per mile one way when a vehicle must travel more than two miles beyond the District line. For Limousines, the charge is $3.25 per mile one way.
For use of a 7 passenger limousine and or hearse for more than six hours past the arrival time at the assembly point, there is a service charge of $75.00 per hour or fraction thereof.

For District of Columbia and Virginia deaths, $100.00 is added to cover medical examiner approval fees and staff time expended to secure these approvals.
VISITATION, MEMORIAL SERVICE AND INTERMENT

For DisÂtrict of Columbia and Virginia deaths, $100.00 is added to cover medical examiner approval fees and staff time expended to secure these approvals.
This charge includes the basic services of funeral director and staff, local transfer of remains to the funeral home, embalming, other preparation, staff and facilities for one hour wake prior to the funeral service, staff and facilities for funeral service, local hearse, local committal service and a strandard size cloth covered casket.
This charge includes the local transfer of remains, basic services of staff, embalming, securing necÂessary authorizations, minimum shipping container and transportation of the remains to National AirÂport or Union Station. It does not include the air or rail charges, visitation, rites, or ceremonies prior to forwarding of the remains.
This charge includes temporary shelter of remains, transportation of remains from local airport or Union Station, delivery to the cemetery or crematory, and basic services of staff. It does not include the air or rail charges, visitation, rites or ceremonies.

If you want to arrange a diÂrect cremation, you can use an alternative containÂer. Alternative containers encase the •body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are plastic pouches and fiÂberboard containers.
1.20-DAY PLAN
All cash advances, sales tax and one half of the funeral expense total are to be paid before the day of the funeral. The balance is to be paid within 20 days of the date on which the contract is signed. If the entire amount is paid within 10 days of the date on which the contract is signed, a discount of three percent (one percent if paid by credit card) of the funeral expense total, minus cash adÂvances and sales tax, will be allowed on all services where "Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff' is itemized or where Option A, B, C, D, E or Fis chosen.
2.DELAYED PAYMENT PLAN
All cash advances and sales tax are to be paid before the day of the service. All or a portion of the balance may be paid via insurance assignment by the verified beneficiary and/or Veterans Affairs benefits. One half of any remaining unassigned portion of the balance must be paid before the date of the service, the balance must be paid in 20 days of the date on which the contract is signed.
