On Saturday February 15, 2025, Thomas Plater Parker passed quietly into eternal afterlife and left a void in the lives of all he touched. Thomas Plater Parker, affectionately known as “Tommy” to family and friends was born in Baltimore, MD on February 2, 1926, to Thomas Parker Sr. and Edith Jarmon-Johnson. Tommy was a strong, independent, forthright man with a sharp mind and indominable spirit. He served in WWII with the US Army and eventually transitioned into a career with the Department of the Navy where he retired as an Accountant after 38 years. Tommy was preceded in death by his devoted wife of thirty-one years, Kathryn Sabb-Parker, his parents, Thomas Parker Sr. and Edith Jarmon-Johnson, stepfather, Melvin Johnson, niece Michelle E. (Dee-Dee) Johnson.
He is survived by his loving brother, Ronald B. Johnson and two devoted younger surrogate sisters, Rose Harper and Dora Harper Thomas (aka Skippy). He is also survived by his loving nephews, Ronald B. Johnson II(Joanne), Marcus Johnson and Charles Lytle (Donna), niece, Carolyn Harvin and a host of tother loving relatives and friends.
Tommy will be remembered for his unusual generosity, compassion and family commitment. The Parker/Johnson families want to express their heartfelt appreciation for your sympathy, love and support in the time of our grief.
