Sondra Huggs Johnson passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 92.

Sondra was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend. She is survived by her son, Rodney Johnson; daughter-in-law, Sharon Johnson; and granddaughter, Taylor Johnson. She also leaves behind her brother, Ernest Huggs, Jr., his wife, Pat, and their children.

Throughout her long and well-lived life, Sondra embodied style, grace, and resilience. Despite facing significant health challenges, she remained a source of strength for all who knew her. Her love for her family was boundless - her son, Rodney, was her rock, and her granddaughter, Taylor, was the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them and the rest of her family until she was called home.

Sondra attended Dunbar High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of the District of Columbia. She had a distinguished career in the federal government, retiring from the Department of Agriculture as a Deputy Director.

Her legacy of love, perseverance, and dedication to family and service will forever be cherished.
