Shirley Speed Obituary

Shirley Anne Speed, 83, was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, who dedicated her life to her family. She was a devoted teacher in her younger years and went on to establish successful business careers with Aetna Insurance Company, Digital Equipment Corporation and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin E. Speed; daughter, Marva Speed-Copeland and son-in-law, Charles Copeland; son, Marvin E. Speed II and daughter-in-law, Terri L. Speed; grandchildren, Adrian Speed, Lauren Broussard, James Copeland, Castella Copeland and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be missed by her devoted dog, "Snowball".
