Sharon Theresa Phillips, born March 7, 1949, in New York City, died January 20, 2026. She was the daughter of William Joseph Phillips, Sr., and Pansy Poindexter Phillips. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Howard University School of Pharmacy in 1974 and devoted nearly four decades of service to the District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health, retiring in October 2024 as Lead Pharmacist. She also worked as a pharmacist with CVS. Guided by her Catholic faith, Sharon lived a life of service, generosity, and care for the dignity of others. She was known for warmth, intellect, and kindness. She is survived by her brother, William J. Phillips, Jr., and is lovingly remembered by many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Sharon's name to the National Kidney Foundation.
