Rufus R. Cannon, Sr.

Rufus R. Cannon, Sr., peacefully departed this life on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Mildred S. Cannon, his son Rufus R. Cannon, Jr., his daughter Carole Cannon Broadnax (Johnathan), his grandson Graylyn Broadnax, and his granddaughter Courtney Broadnax.  He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Rufus was preceded in death by his parents, David E. and Carrie Cannon, his sisters, Evelyn Hightower, Gwendolyn Moore, and Thelma Hackett; his brothers, Cecil Cannon, and David H. Cannon. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rufus’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
