Rose Marie Long, 90, was born on August 4, 1932 at Freedman's hospital in Washington, DC to the late Winnie Bates Davis and William Davis, Sr. Rose transitioned peacefully in her home on December 10, 2022. She retired as a Senior Financial Analyst for the Department of the Navy and worked for the Federal Government for 39 years. She is survived by loving daughters, Lolisa Nancy Wright, and Utokia Langley, son-in-law Trent Langley, Granddaughter Camryn Langley, Grandson Chase Langley, Goddaughter Nina Day, Godson Scott Richards and a host of other relatives and friends. She was married to the late Wayman O. Long for 35 years. She had three siblings, the late, William Davis, Jr., Carrie Ritchie and Nancy Wright.
A private memorial service was held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Sharon Baptist Church. Rose's final resting place will be at Arlington Cemetery, along with her late husband Wayman Otis Long.
