Robert T. Dibble, M.D. Obituary

Dr. Robert Taylor Dibble, 93, passed peacefully at his home in Silver Spring, MD on July 11, 2025 surrounded by his wife, Barbara, his children, June Ray, Diana Dibble, and Sean Dibble, along with son-in-law Martin Biggs and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dr. Dibble graduated from Howard University Medical School in 1956 and practiced medicine in Washington, DC for 62 years. He retired from MedStar Washington Hospital Center in December, 2014.
He was a member of many professional men's organizations. He loved the game of golf and was a member of the Pro-Duffers Golf Club, where he received several trophies and achieved two holes-in-one, the last one at 90 years of age. He was an avid tennis enthusiast and played on Sundays with the same group of tennis buddies for decades. In college, he was a "four letter man" and earned a place in Hall of Fame for Sports at Grinnell College.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Eugene Dibble, Jr. M.D.; his sister, Helen Dibble Cannaday and his brother-in-law Dr. Lawrence Cannaday, his brother, Eugene Dibble III and his sister-in-law Jeanette Campbell Dibble, and his brother-in-law Vernon Jordan.
He is survived by his sisters, Clarice Walker (George), and Ann Jordan; his grandchildren, Jennifer Ray Muir (Krishna), Veronica Ray and Charles Ray III; great-grandchildren Kayla, Kadar, Kaden and Khisha Muir, Lebeyah and Titus Godo, Henry and Frank Biggs, and his great -great- granddaughter, Allanna Ray Muir. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Dr. Dibble was loved by many and will be greatly missed. He will be laid to rest in his beloved hometown of Tuskegee, Alabama.
