Otis B. Young, Jr.

Otis Benjamin Young, Jr., 82, of Adelphi, MD departed this life. Otis was born in Washington, DC on November 27, 1938. He was the first of six children born to the late Otis Benjamin Young, Sr. and Carrie Lee Branch Young. Otis graduated from McKinley Technology High School and Howard University in Washington, DC. He began his flying career in the Air Force. He then went on to fly as a commercial airline pilot for 32 years.

He is predeceased in death by his wife Yvonne Collins Young, daughter Yvette Young DeCosta and sister Bettie Young Miller.

Otis is survived by his son Otis Benjamin Young,III, seven grandchildren: Gyasi De Costa, Layla DeCosta, Amari DeCosta, Tatiana Young, Gabriella Young, Alexa Young and Collin Young; three sisters: Mamie Jenkins, Joan Jackson, CeCelia Robinson and one brother Vernon Young; son-in-law Gerald DeCosta; sister-law Lorretta Collins Argrett and brother-law Joseph Collins, and many other relatives and friends.
