Master Chief Moses L. Jackson, Jr., a devoted Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024, at 77. Born October 30, 1946, in Magnolia, MS, to Mose and Berneta Jackson, he dedicated his life to service and excellence. After attending Oklahoma State University and Howard University, he served in the Navy Reserves for 35 years, reaching the rank of Master Chief.
Jackson is survived by his daughter Moniesha Shorter, sister Judy Batson, and brother Larry Jackson. A service honoring his life will be held on June 17, 2024 with military honors at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery.
