On Thursday, September 1, 2022, the sun set on Marie Howe Johnson, a lifelong Washingtonian, who was educated in DCPS and a graduate of Dunbar High School in1949.
She was the wife of the late Roscoe Johnson; loving mother of Damon (dec.) and Phyllis.
She worked in the private sector, including Garfinkel's in DC. She served and worshiped at Metropolitan Wesley AME Zion Church. Marie is remembered for her encouragement to others, fun can do spirit, kindness, wits and ability to treat all with respect and dignity. Her insights and hard-hitting truths will be missed.
