Louie W. White, Sr. Obituary

Louie William White was born on December 19,1958, in Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024. He was the beloved son of the late Christine Chaffin White and Irving White. He had one brother Irving White Jr. 


Growing up in Washington D.C., Louie attended D.C. Public Schools and graduated from McKinley Teach high school in 1977 before pursuing higher education at the University of Maryland, where he earned his degree in 1983. His dedication to public service led him to join the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in 1984. Over the years, Louie served in various districts and departments, exemplifying his commitment to his community. Early in his career he was apart of the K9 unit. He earned a promotion to Sergeant, a testament to his leadership skills and unwavering dedication to his colleagues and the citizens he served He retired after 34 years of dedicated service in 2017.


In 1985, Louie married Donna Marie Alexander, who were later divorced. To this union, two children were born, Louie William White Jr., and Anita Carrie White. In 1993, Louie married Vanessa White (deceased) and to this union, two children were born, Krista Faith White and Micah Christian White. They were married for 31 years until her untimely death in 2023.


Louie was known for his warm spirit, sense of humor, and kindness to everyone he met. Outside of his professional life, Louie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and exploring the outdoors. He was a huge sports fan. His favorite was football. He rarely missed a Sunday of watching and rooting for the Commanders. As a child with his father, mother, and brother they attended the NASCAR races in Dover, DE. This was a “must-do”, twice a year road trip. Louie also loved to go fishing. Every spring a group of coworkers would get together annually for a fishing trip.


Louie always looked forward to all the family gatherings for birthdays, holidays, or summer picnics.


He leaves to relive and rejoice in these memories four children, Louie Jr. (Jennifer) Anita, Krista, and Micah White; one grandchild Christian White; one brother Irving White and other loving relatives and many friends.


Louie White will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
