Lisa Elaina Tredwell Obituary

Born August 6, 1958, to Dorothy Forte Treadwell and Rev. William Allen Treadwell at Freedman’s Hospital in Washington, DC. Attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her degree from The University of The District of Columbia. Lisa moved to LA in 1989 to pursue her career in television and filmmaking. In 1993, KingWorld Productions relocated her back to the East Coast to stage manage the Les Brown Show. That was the beginning of her freelance career in television. She had the opportunity to work on 2 films while in NY. In 2001, she became the staff Stage Manager for Dan Rather on the CBS Evening News. Lisa retired from CBS Evening News in 2025 after nearly 25 years of service. Lisa loved worshipping and serving God! She LOVED the water ESPECIALLY the beach and loved to swim. Lisa cherished traveling! She was blessed to have visited other continents and many other countries. She had a fondness for horses and enjoyed horseback riding. Enjoyed working out, walking, and gardening. Lisa is Predeceased by: Mother: Dorothy Forte Treadwell Father: Rev. William Allen Treadwell Sister: Fern Denise Treadwell.


Lisa is survived by her cousin Elizabeth Galli of Columbus, OH, cousin Arthur (Bobby) Lee and wife Joyce of Kennesaw, GA, The Lee family of Columbus, OH, Renee Moore and family of Washington, DC, cousins Carolyn John of John’s Creek, GA and Gregory Stith of Newark Delaware, her loving Godfamily the Robinsons and friends Michele Williams of Washington, DC, the Marr family of Hyattsville, MD, Tracy Dupree Davis and family of Friendlywood, MD, Sherwood Lucas of Las Vegas, NV, Michael (O’Malley O’Malley) of Clarks Summit, PA, Lucy Denny-Gardner, Bianca Pino, Darius Farrelly and Ernest Winborne of LA, California, Shurman and Sabrina Bryant of Temple Hills, MD, Karina Rinalducci, Kyle Worrell and the CBS News Logistics family of NYC, and trustees and friends Danish Khan and Ruchi Lamba, Diane Sleigh, and Amanda Mills of NY, in addition to her many other NY and LA friends/family, and along with her many beloved and long time friends from "HOME", which is where her heart was.
