It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Kevin Osore Makanyama. Kevin is survived by his parents Teresia Sokoto and Brig. General Calley Makanyama (Retd.) sisters Catherine, Lorraine and Carolyne. His Stepmother Carolyne Adhiambo Makanyama and sisters Clara and Tamia; his nephews Felix and Meyoki, and his extended family and friends that cherished him. Kevin suddenly passed away on July 19th, 2024. He was a loving brother, devoted son, wonderful nephew, cousin, friend, and the best uncle.


Kevin Makanyama was born on June 16th, 1982, in Nakuru Kenya. He is the 2nd child and only son to Calley Osore Odongo Makanyama and Teresia Sokoto. He spent his childhood in Nakuru Kenya and his adulthood in Landover MD.


A beacon of hard work and dedication, Kevin exemplified what it meant to be a true go-getter. Regardless of the challenges that life presented, he faced each with unwavering determination and a positive spirit. His adventurous nature led him to embrace life’s opportunities with open arms, always eager to explore new horizons.


Beyond his remarkable work ethic, Kevin was known for his deep love for people, his genuine care for others and his ability to make anyone laugh. He was a compassionate listener, a supportive friend, and a guiding light to his family and friends. His ability to uplift those around him, even during tough times, was a testament to his resilient and prayerful nature.


He leaves behind a family and community profoundly touched by his life. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return.
