Judith A. Evans Obituary

On Monday, September 23, 2024, Judith Ann Evans (Singleton), loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at Charter Senior Living in Annapolis, where she had resided for several years in her struggle with dementia.  She was 83.


Born in Sea Cliff, NY, Judith enjoyed an adventurous childhood, living for a time in both Quito, Ecuador and Lima, Peru.  She returned to the US to graduate with a B.A. from Boston University and later obtained a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the Catholic University of America.  She was employed for several years at Beauvoir School doing entrance testing and later became a successful realtor with Long and Foster, Shannon and Luchs, Prudential Carruthers and Weichert Realtors.  She was honored during her career to sell houses to a great many of her beloved Southwest DC neighbors.  Later in life, Judith resided in Venice Beach, MD and was appointed by the governor of Maryland to two terms on the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Commission.


Judith was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Clarence Carnot Evans, Jr., in 2017.  She is survived by her three children, Monica, Carnot III and Barrett, and two grandchildren.
