Joyce Brenda Brown was born in Winchester, VA on August 14, 1951. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home in Washington, DC.
Brenda was greatly loved by her family and friends, who will miss her dearly. She faced the challenges of cerebral palsy, with resilience and fortitude that inspired all who knew her. Brenda loved to sing & clap with commercials, game shows, gospel music, award shows, and rooting for the Commanders. She loved dancing, especially with her father. Brenda was very affectionate and full of love to share. Her neighbors loved it when she waved to them with a friendly warm smile.
Brenda was preceded in death by her: parents, Harry Spottswood and Fitzhugh Christian Brown. She is survived by her: sister, Susan M. Brown; aunt, Inez V. Brown; cousin, Frances E. Whitaker; and other family and friends.
