Josiane P. Branch Obituary

My heart is broken to share that my wonderful sister, Josiane Pauline Branch born in the country of France on 10/21/1946, has passed away on 08/19/2024 at age 77. She was the child of Major Julian Dee Branch, and Fiorina Camelia Branch. The family came back to the USA eventually settling in Washington, DC to start a new life.   She love to travel,  and I or my mother accompanied her on many trips.
She went to and graduated from Sacred Heart School. Most may not know that she was an activist for Civil Rights.  One of the highlights was attending the I have a dream speech by Dr. Martin Luther King on August 28, 1963.
She pursued, a college degree, and Graduated from Federal City College(UDC) majoring in Biology.  Her work life was interesting, working for the Federal Government for 40 years in various positions culminating in the role of Executive Assistant for the Security Exchange Commission(SEC).  However, the achievement she was most proud of was donating blood to the Red Cross which she was awarded numerous honors from the Federal Government, as well as supporting Children organizations, and museums. She retired from government service, and enjoyed lectures, museums, plays, and movies.

She was predeceased by her brother Pierre. She is survived by her brother (Michel D. Branch, and his wife Leslie).
