Johnnie Lee Jackson, Jr., 60 years old, of Millbrook, Alabama, passed away on March 6, 2020 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Johnnie was born in Millbrook, Alabama to Johnnie and Jessie Rainge on May 3, 1959. The family soon moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1961 where Johnnie attended East High School. In 1977, Johnnie graduated and went straight into the Marine Corps. He held many prestigious positions, including his latest position as an auxiliary supervisor for the Ninth Coast Guard District located in Cleveland, Ohio. Johnnie was a veteran who earned a plethora of awards while serving in the Marine Corp for over 25 years before retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant.
Johnnie is preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Rainge; his mother, Jessie Rainge; his brother, Benjamin Jackson; and his sister, Shelia Davis.
Johnnie is survived by his son, Johnnie LaJuan Jackson III; six brothers, Waymond Jackson (Lashaundra), Edward Jackson, Will Rainge (Pamela), Allen Rainge, Ronald Rainge (Angela) and James Rainge; his sister, Patricia Rainge; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The Jackson family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses involved in Johnnie's care.
Due to COVID-19, a private service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
