James Elemuel Wyatt, Jr. of Derwood, Maryland departed this life on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the MedStar Medical Center in Washington, DC after a lengthy illness.
Known to many as Jimmy, he was born on May 28, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He spent most of his early childhood at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, where his father served in the U.S. Army.
Jimmy Jr. completed his primary and secondary education in the Eatontown and Red Bank, New Jersey school districts, where he received his high school diploma with honors from Red Bank Regional High School. His post-secondary education included studies at Northwestern University and Howard University.
Jimmy enjoyed playing basketball, debating current events, and playing video games. His favorite past time was surfing the internet and studying the stock market. He was admired by many, especially his old friends from the New Jersey area. He shared his love for God and his favorite gospel music with others. In his desire to leave the world a better place, he was an organ donor.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dolores McIver Wyatt and is survived by his father, Colonel (Ret.) James E. Wyatt, his stepmother, Patricia and two sisters, Dr. Toya Annette Wyatt and Mona Yvette Wyatt of California, a beloved cousin Cheryl George of Maryland, and a host of relatives and friends across the country.
