Howard H. Bradshaw, Jr. was born on August 31, 1944, in Harlingen, Texas, to the late Howard H. Bradshaw, Sr. and Rebecca Louise Ginyard. He was the devoted husband to his wife of decades, Isatu Jalloh-Bradshaw. A loving father to daughters Deirdre, Rebecca, Sonja, Felicia, Terri and a caring stepdaughter, Mariama Sesay. He was blessed with thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Howard was the second of nine siblings, Sonny, Deborah, Ricky, Gregory, Michael, Latanya, Darryl and Antoinette (deceased).
Howard received his primary education at Roosevelt High School in Washington, DC. He went on to join the Air Force. After his discharge in 1966, he became employed with the US Postal Service. There he continued his education to become a computer analyst and then a computer programmer. He continued to grow his career within the US Government becoming the Director of Information Management (DOIM) in Baumholder, Germany. He worked in Hong Kong and several Government assignments and retired from the Department of Defense in 1994. The bottom line is Howard was devoted to service.
Howard lived a life defined by independence, loyalty and devotion to family and very close friends, especially Leroy and Robert Owens, whose bond meant so much to him. He enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, and watching movies of every genre. Most importantly, he was dedicated to his wife Isatu, who is also his very best confidant. Above all he cherished his time spent with those he loved.
He passed away peacefully in the arms of his devoted wife on December 21, 2025. He will be remembered for his strength, generosity and unwavering love for family.
