Hazel Jones (Wilson) Seaberry Obituary

Hazel Jones (Wilson) Seaberry, 97, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 21, 2023,  at the George Washington University Hospital with her children at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and husband, Joseph E. ("Eugene") Seaberry.


She was a retired educator and the first African American female to be licensed to sell securities and stocks and bonds in the state of South Carolina in the 1960's.


She is survived by two children, The Honorable Norma Denise Wilson-Taylor, and Dr. Dennis Norman Wilson (Marva). Two step children, Beatrice Edmondson (Anthony) and Joseph E. Seaberry, III, (Brenda).  Two nephews, Aaron Harvey and Joseph Harvey. She is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grands, and a host of many other friends and family.
