Gwendolyn Grant Obituary

Gwendolyn Ophelia Jeffries Grant was released from this life on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She was born on February 11, 1936 in Whitman, WV. She earned a B.S. in Education from West Virginia State College in 1957. In 1961, she accepted a teaching position in Maryland. From 1962 until her death, she lived in Washington, DC.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Curtis Grant, Sr. and stepson Robert Curtis Grant, Jr.. She is survived by her daughter Thelma Hines; stepdaughters Madelyn Godfrey and Patricia Hackerson (Melvin); brother Malcolm Jeffries (Forestine); sister June Jeffries (Bobby Parker); an extended family; and numerous friends.
