Frederick Gibbs Fauntleroy joined his parents and ancestors after departing this earthly life on Friday, November 7, 2025. He was born in Washington, DC on May 15, 1966 to Phyllis Gibbs Fauntleroy (teacher, librarian, and artist) and John Douglass Fauntleroy (attorney and later Judge). He has been a blessing to his family and he lived a happy life, loved by all who knew him. Left to miss him are his three siblings, Phylicia Fauntleroy Bowman (John); Jacqueline Fauntleroy Barber; John Douglass Fauntleroy, Jr. (Cynthia); his nephew H. Wendell Barber (Deja); his niece, Cynthia Fauntleroy Ores (DeVonte); and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Special Olympics (Montgomery County or DC) or the Lifeline Partnership Program at First Trinity Lutheran Church, 309 E Street NW, DC.
The service will be streamed on the church's Youtube channel for those who cannot attend.
