On a wintry Sunday night on March 27, 1966, God blessed Donald (now deceased) and Deirdre Chandler with a precious miracle of Donielle Charlene Chandler. From birth, she had an infectious smile which she inherited honestly. Donielle’s religious training began at St. Gabriel Church and school. Later she was then transferred to nearby Maryland suburban Catholic schools where she vehemently protested to her mother that she should attend neighborhood schools with her friends. Her mother allowed her ranting to go in one ear and out the other and Donielle continued to be transported to Silver Spring, Maryland.
Not immediately ready to attend college, she held several minimal positions that ensured her maintenance of her hair and nails. Realizing her love for children, she enrolled in Montgomery College and matriculated to the University of Maryland majoring in Early Childhood Education. Using this education, she found her niche with the Montgomery County Library System where she worked for more than 15 years before her health began to fail. Library patrons seemed to gravitate to her not only because of her knowledge; but, because of her caring, compassion, sense of humor, professionalism, and genuine sense of affection. Additionally, Donielle was an amazing chef with unmatched culinary skills. Donielle also loved to sing in and out of the shower exercising her vocal cords to their highest level.
Donielle leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Deirdre; her stepfather Timothy; her fiancé, Johnnie Duvall; her children, Jaydon Duvall, Iesha Chandler, Sheena Dennis, Patrick Dennis and Adrian Dennis; two sisters, Tymeshea Adams and Daveta Bailey; one brother, Donald Chandler, Jr.; her longtime and devoted friend, Curtis Campbell; her Godmother, Barbara Frazier; four aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends. Unfortunately, Donielle contracted COVID-19 and on Saturday, June 5, 2021, God ended her suffering and took her home to be with Him.
