Dolores Spaulding

Dolores Melissa Hinton Spaulding, 92, Musician, Educator, Community Volunteer, died on June 11, 2022.

In the 1950s, she taught at what was then Fairmont Heights Junior Senior High School, in Prince George's County, MD. From the 1980s through 1990s she taught at Nannie Helen Burroughs School. In 2016 she retired as an adjunct Professor from the University of the District of Columbia.

Preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Dr. William R. Spaulding, and her daughter Michele Spaulding Howell (Arthur), she is survived by daughters Angelyn Flowers (Brian), Deirdre Spaulding-Yeoman (Emanuel); two grandchildren, Felicia F. Garrido (Pablo), A. Brian Flowers (Isla); two great-granchildren, Amelia and Damien Garrido; and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
