Carol A.F. Morgan Obituary

Carol Ann Furr Morgan was born on December 18, 1939, in Purcellville, Virginia to Flossie Sinclair Furr and Omar Gregg Furr. She was the fourth of seven children. She has a twin sister and a set of twin brothers. She passed away quietly on Monday, June 3, 2024, from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease.


After graduating from Douglas High School in Leesburg, Virginia she attended the Cortez Business School in Washington, DC for secretarial training. She worked at the Commerce Department for a year then transferred to the US Department of Labor. She retired in 1995 as a GS10 Administrative Assistant after 33 years of service. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Silver Spring, Md. She did volunteer work at the church and other community organizations.


She married James J Morgan III on August 13, 1977. They made their home in Silver Spring, Md. She enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, traveling, eating out and participating in family events.


She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband, James, her twin sister, Carolyn Mae Penn, her brothers Omar and Orton Furr, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents, brother Louis Furr, and sisters Omega Hume and Beatriz Lassiter.
