She was predeceased by her parents, Maggie Bell Hall Overton and Oscar A. Overton, Sr. and four siblings; Laurence Overton, Sr., Bernard A. Overton, Sr., Melvin L. Overton., and Vivian Overton Mayo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Howard Rose, Sr. ; one brother, Oscar Overton, Jr., two step-children; Leslie Rose and Howard Rose, Jr,; three sisters-in-laws, Mary, Irene and Dorothy Overton; three grandchildren; Noah, Caleb and Nicole, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other loving relatives and friends.
