Barbara Ann Mayo Dibble passed away peacefully at her home in Silver Spring, Maryland, on April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children, June, Diana and Sean. Barbara was a cornerstone of her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband and soulmate, Dr. Robert Taylor Dibble, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother great-great grandmother spanning five generations.
Barbara is reunited in peace with her husband, Bobby, her parents, Ella and Rolland Mayo; two brothers and one sister; and several sisters- and brothers-in-law.
Her legacy of love continues through her sisters, Nicole Mayo and Ailene Garner; and her brothers, Myron, Major, Walter, and Allen Mayo; her children, June Ray, Diana Dibble and Sean Dibble; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her light.
A memorial service honoring the lives of both Barbara and Dr. Dibble will be held at a later time.
