Aqullia Crouch was born in Washington DC on June 9, 1926 to the late Annie Shepherd. Mrs. Crouch was educated in the District of Columbia Public School System, where she received her high school diploma from Armstrong High School. She was joined in marriage to Wiley Crouch of High Point, North Carolina. This union produced three children, Edward Crouch (deceased), Sara Dakins, and Novera King. She then went on to work at Industrial Bank of Washington, DC where she remained for more than 45 years until her retirement in 1991. Mrs. Crouch was very active in the DC Community where she was a member of various organizations.
Mrs. Crouch joined Saint Paul Church in the mid 1960’s and was an active member of the Trustee Helpers Organization until her death. In her later years, Mrs. Crouch enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Crouch leaves to mourn two daughters, Sara Dakins and Novera King; two granddaughters, Novera King and Ashley Dakins; two grandsons, Alim King and Mujib Khaliq; one great grandson, Zaid Khaliq; a grand daughter-in-law, Kenzie Khaliq; and a host of other relatives and friends.
