Anna M. Boyd De Laine of Washington, DC, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025. Born on August 11, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri, Anna was the beloved daughter of the late William and Lucille Boyd. 

Anna is survived by five sons, Wilbert, Jr., Roland, Marc, Julien (Lily), and Geoffrey; six daughters, Wanda Zambrana, Ellen, Marcia, Monique, Leslie, and Quina; 11 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; two sisters-in-law Viola De Laine Hollis and Lois De Laine; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Wilbert H. De Laine, Sr., two sons Laurent, Sr., and Vincent and two daughters Jocelyn, and Marguerite Gunawardana (Oscar).

Anna De Laine was a retired educator with the District of Columbia Public School System.
