Willis S. Thomas, Sr. at the age of 97 departed this life at Malta House in Hyattsville, MD. He is survived by his sons Willis Jr., James, Jeffrey (Tyanne) and Edward, daughter Jean, step-daughter Patricia Ann Freeman, daughter-in-law Samella, niece Carol Leak, sister-in-law Mildred (Bernard) Smoot, brother-in-law, Walter McLaughlin and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

He was pre-deceased by his mother Charlotte, wife Bessie, daughter Charlotte Hogan, son-in-law Larry Hogan and son John.
