Louise Gary Rogers, of Washington, DC, a respected retired educator, peacefully departed this life at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD with her family by her side, after sudden illness. She now joins her beloved husband, the late Webster A. Rogers.
She is survived by son, Webster A. Rogers, Jr. (Joanna Roberts Rogers) of Silver Spring, MD. and daughter, Esther Rogers Manning of Washington, DC. She was preceded in death by sons, Harold Julian Rogers and Thomas Michael Rogers; sister, Elizabeth Gary Coates; daughter-in-law, Ann Lawrence Rogers (Webster), and grandson, Benjamin G. Rogers (Joanna). She is also survived by brother, Harold J. Gary of Carmel, NY; nieces, Angela Coates Ivey (Randy) of Ashburn, VA.; Cheryll Gary Martin (Harvey) of Virginia Beach, VA.; grandchildren, Lauren L. Manning, JoAnne E. Rogers, Catherine R. Camphor (Eric), Webster A. (Alex) Rogers, III and Timothy G. Rogers; great-nieces and nephew, Nicole E. Ivey, Adrienne B. Ivey and Brandon R. Ivey. Additional survivors are close cousins Eleanor and Bernice Roane of Washington, DC., and childhood friend, Elizabeth Wilson of Silver Spring, MD, as well as a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
