Herman Edward Branson, M.D. passed away after a difficult six month illness. He was born in Washington, DC, on August 24, 1943, to Herman R. and Corolynne G. Branson (now deceased). He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of nearly 50 years, Carolyn Nickens Branson; a dear niece, Dr. Danielle Carr Ramdath; a very special grand-niece, Kaitlyn Ramdath and a host of other very devoted family members and friends.
Dr. Branson completed his undergraduate degree at Beloit College in Beloit, WI, in 1965 and his medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine in 1969. He interned at the University of Washington (UW)/USPHS Hospital, followed by a four year residency in Pathology/Laboratory Medicine at the UW Affiliated Hospitals Program, completed in 1974.
