Esther R. Coles was the last surviving of 10 children. She is survived by her son, Melvin W. Coles, Jr.; her daughters, Bonnie B. Coles and Deborah D. Colley; her grandchildren, Elena Stevens, Stephanie and Kimberly Colley, Arjuna, Dhan, Shakti, and Keshava Coles. Also surviving are one great-grandchild, Edward Stevens and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
