Elsie Mae Ivey

Passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Avonlea Ridge Assisted Living Facility, Silver Spring, MD. Born on October 15, 1930 in Leggett, NC, she was the only child of the late Enora and Horace Williams. Her family moved to Washington, DC where she was educated. She leaves to mourn her husband, James M. Ivey; daughter, Tracei LaShawn Ivey; son, Carl Bernard Ivey; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Ivey; granddaughters, Shappe'lle and Destan'ee Ivey; great-grandchildren, Amante, Adonis, Alexandria, Amari, Demi and Da-cota; a host of other relatives and many friends. Service will be held on Thursday, November 30, Visitation 10 a.m., Service 11 a.m. at McGUIRE FUNERAL HOME, 7400 Georgia Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20012. Private interment Glenwood Cemetery, Washington, DC.
