Charles Travis, Sr. Obituary
Charles "Charlie" Louis Travis, Sr., 78, beloved husband, devoted brother, father, grandfather and uncle, was predeceased by his parents, the late Samuel and Louise Wilson Travis; sister, Ora Diana and brother, Sidney Byrd Travis.
He leaves a legacy of love for his wife of 19 years and the love of his life, Vernice Miller-Travis; sons, Roger and Charles Louis, II; brothers, David (Louise) and Samuel Jerry (Shirley) and sisters, Barbara, Phyllis and Aida. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Ruth (Sidney); 12 grandchildren; 15 devoted nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
