Carleene Simmons was a native of Coraopolis, PA. She received her Bachelor's degree in nursing and served over 30 years as a Registered Nurse.

She is survived by her two children, Joy Erskine and Freddie Simmons, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Donna Simmons; grandson, Christopher Byrd; granddaughter, Tatiana Simmons; one sister, Evelyn Wells; one brother, William Teamor; other relatives and friends.
