Beth Nelson Ausbrooks, Ph.D.

Beth Nelson Ausbrooks, Ph.D., was retired from the University of the District of Columbia where she taught for many years. Dr. Ausbrooks was a graduate of Dunbar High School and of Howard University, where she earned a Ph.D. in Political Science. During her professional career, she taught at Howard University, University of Maryland and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Ausbrooks dedicated her life to education and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawna Rogers, M.D. (Walter Evans, Esq.); son, Gregory Rogers, Maryland businessman, (Maria Arias de Rogers); sister, Mary Wilburn (Dr. Adolph Wilburn); brother, Charles David Nelson, Esq; grandchildren, Danielle Evans and Alonzo Rogers. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
