Aubrey Wharton, Jr. was the dear husband for 51 years of Sarah V. Wharton (deceased); father of Audrey V. Plummer, Della K. Boyce (husband, Mark Boyce, Sr.), Sharon R. Wharton and Aubrey Wharton, III (wife, Rita Wharton); grandfather of Mark Boyce, Jr., Derrick Boyce, Preshus Plummer, Larry Plummer, DeAndre Wharton, Aaron Wharton, Alexis Wharton and Sofia Smith and uncle to many loved nieces and nephews. He is survived by his loving sister, Audrey Sturdivant (husband, Ronnie Sturdivant).
His sisters, Mildred, Elizabeth, Claudia and Kathleen predeceased him.
Aubrey served 23 years in the Air Force and was a longtime resident of Washington, DC.
The interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
