Anita Tyus

Anita Tyus leaves to mourn her passing: two sons, Marvin Chester Tyus, Jr. (Carrie) and Ronald "Kofi" Franklin Tyus (Ernestine); seven grandchildren, Gail Tyus-Hill (Howard), Kimberle Tyus-Anderson (Daryl), Yao Tyus (Hasanna), Merriel Tyus-Brooks (Diallo), Alma Tyus, M.D., Akosua Otemea Tyus, and Aba Tyus; nine great-grandchildren, Karen Hill, Howard Hill, Jr., Afia Tyus, Marvin Brooks, Najah Brooks, Yao Osei Tyus, Diallo Anthony Brooks, Kwabena Tyus, and Esi Tyus; daughters-in-law, Ansa Tyus and Shirley Suber; a host of extended family and friends.
Interment at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Maryland.
