My condolences to the family. "Jesus said to her: 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.'"-John 11:25. The resurrection promise gives us comfort in knowing you will see him again.

Rest in peace, Aaron. He was such a caring human being and a wonderful role model and change agent at the Maternal and Child Health Bureau.

From others who knew him.."This is sad news. He was such a visionary re technology and a supporter for family leadership. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to learn from him." From Patti Hackett-Hunter;

"Oh, I am so, so sorry to hear this news. I haven't seen Aaaron in quite a long time and knew he was not well. What a loss to his family and his many friends. I first met Aaron back in the early 80s. At that time we - at the Federation for Children with Special Needs in Boston - had funding from the US Dept of Special Education for parent/family initiatives, the Parent Training and Information Centers. But we - Nora Wells and I - focused our efforts on collaboration with health professionals, an unknown field at that time! The Maternal and Child Health Bureau was just exploring how to become engaged with families. Merle McPherson enlisted Aaron to come over to a DOE family conference and to meet with us. We knew so little about MCH and of course couldn't imagine then how it would impact our lives and family initiatives. Aaron was delightful - charming, interested and interesting, and he was very encouraging to us. He was a perfect liaison! We received our first MCH funding in 1985 and had many opportunities to get to know and interact with him over many years. Again, my deep sympathy to Aaron's family and his many MCH friends" From Betsy Anderson.
