Carolyn and Janice:
Thanks for sharing Bertha with me all these years. My heart is as
broken as yours. But we do not mourn as those without hope.
Bertha will rest until the Lord calls her forth 'on that great gettin
up mornin'.
Reggie, Jamila and Oba:
Bertha loved you with all of her heart. I thank God for allowing you to see His beauty in the person of Bertha. You are being kept in prayer while you travel through this time in your life. God is watching over you.
Love, Margo

It was disbelief I heard the news of Bertha's passing. My heart is broken as I know the hearts of her husband, son, and daughter are. She was so proud of you all. I truly loved Bertha as she was an incredible example to us all. Her strength was undeniable. Please know, that even though we haven't met, my thoughts are with you during this time.

Dear Family of Dr. Bertha Minus,
With great sadness, I extend to you my condolences.
I was one of Dr. Minus’s grateful students at the University of the District of Columbia. From her I received wisdom, strength and purpose. She was a professor’s professor: caring, kind, giving, serious, and knowledgeable.
Although I had not seen Dr. Minus in recent years, I will truly miss her. I am sending you a warm hug, prayers, and good thoughts.
Sincerely,
Arlene L. Arthur,

Sincere sympathy to the Minus family. Dr. Minus was always perfectly correct in her communications, advice, and admonishments. I am so happy that I had the chance to observe her and to "learn a few things". God bless her soul and keep you in His arms.

I was shocked and deeply sadden when I found out about Bretha's passing. I extend my sincere condolences to the Reginald and the twins. Bertha was my sister and I loved her. We met during our year as ACE Fellows in 2000 and developed a lasting bond. She had a kind, gentle and loving spirit that inspired us all. Bretha love and trusted in God, and I know she is in a better place.

Rest in peace my beloved sister.
Sincerely,
Janice Harper
